‘Starch Artist’ Sculpts Mashed Potato Cybertruck At Thanksgiving
It’s a constant question come holiday season: what do you get for your friend who has everything? Most material goods would be redundant. The coupons for a free neck massage have just gotten creepier with every mounting year that you’ve presented them. A heartfelt note, handwritten and expressing the gratitude you feel at having them in your life? That’s stupid. Let’s act like adults.
Luckily, this year, Elon Musk revealed the Cybertruck, Tesla’s answer to the question “What if the Back To The Future DeLorean got its windows broken?” It’s the perfect $70 thousand present for any friends or family members that, frankly, you’ve run out of ideas for. But what if, against all odds, they already have one? What if your friend is Elon Musk?
In that case, you’ll want to turn to Greg Milano, a 30 year old real estate worker with an actual law degree who will never be more famous for his other accomplishments as he currently is for playing with his food. Through hours of tireless work and good old fashioned American weirdness, Milano took Twitter by storm over Thanksgiving weekend with his magnum opus: a Tesla Cybertruck made entirely of mashed potatoes.
Per CNN, Milano has made a tradition of painstakingly creating “mashed-erpieces,” meticulously handcrafted potato recreations of whatever the current cultural zeitgeist demands. Listing previous accomplishments, he said “I did a Hostess cupcake and Twinkie because they were in bankruptcy … White House because it was an election year, the DeLorean from ‘Back to the Future’ because it was when Marty went to the future, and BB8 when ‘Star Wars’ came out.” His Cybertruck, wastefully not referred to as “musked potatoes,” was the result of hours of ceaseless toil. It has reportedly become the most difficult to obtain piece of art created in recent history, since Milano finished the day by microwaving his sculpture and eating it.
